Job Description
My Grayling, MI client is in need of a Project Estimator to join their team. The Project Estimator will compile quality estimates by pulling the material, receiving quotes for materials, generating project plans based on the estimated time to complete the project, and generate proposals. You will conduct inside sales and customer communications. You will be responsible for Estimating, planning and budgeting and project management. As an Estimator you will perform quantity takeoffs and review for potential scope holes. Contact vendors and procure current component pricing. Assemble material, purchased items, labor hours and sub-contract cost for the completion of the estimate. Review the estimated cost and labor hours with the Shop and Field Departments, as may be applicable, before a final review. Read and interpret client-supplied bid documents. Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to a particular bid or project. Write the proposal and submit it for the Customers’ acceptance.
Qualifications
Skills for this position should include:
- 3 – 5 years’ of project estimating.
- Experience with inside sales and customer interaction.
- Experience with Gantt charts in MS Project.
- Strong experience in planning and budgeting.
- Experience processing customer PO’s.
- Strong Project Management experience.
Bach degree desired but not required
