PC Technician

Description Robert Half Technology is searching for a PC Technician for a role in the Transport industry who can communicate with technical and non-technical users understandably and concisely and who can solve complex technical issues. If you are a self-motivated problem solver who loves to work in a dynamic and positive environment, this may be the role for you. As the PC Technician, you will work in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, region. This role is a short-term temporary opportunity.Major responsibilities- Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix- Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards- Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date- Service a variety of computer hardware, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and refurbishing PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment- Document all daily data communication transactions, issues and solutions or installations- Image and set up new computers- Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site or prepare for shipping Requirements - Strong problem solving and analytical skills- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments- CompTIA A+ certification preferred- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds- Foundational knowledge in Windows 7 Migration- Strong familiarity with Deployment Activities- Hardware & software installation experience required- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- 3+ years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
