Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)Location: Remote WorkYour goal - to improve the education process and better the lives of students through user experience design.The Organization: Global Discovery GroupThis position will help support our Global discovery group which is responsible for increasing activation, engagement, retention and upgrades across all platforms (web, mWeb and mobile native ).As part of the UX team, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, product designers and content strategists who are driven to create great experiences for our students. As a senior designer, you will drive designs for enabling discovery and greater usage of our amazing content, tools, and services across web and native platforms. You should be comfortable owning the end-to-end user experience of several business-critical projects What we're looking for Design Ability Your day to day will include conceptualizing new and updated workflows, generating concepts, creating visual designs, prototyping, writing specifications, and supporting engineering partners during development. Our web products are all responsive web applications. You should have a solid understanding of design patterns on the web and possess a strong knowledge of responsive design principles. In addition to excellent interaction and visual design skills, strong candidates should have experience thinking in terms of end-to-end design, applying strategic thinking and business goals to designs, focusing on user feedback, and understanding the relation of visual design to the interaction Communication.You will be in close contact with other designers, product leads, researchers, and engineers. So, you should embrace being transparent and honest! Self-DirectionYou will have a team of designers to support you. However, you should be confident in leading a project from concept to execution. Requirements: 4+ years as a User Experience Designer, creating excellent experiences that delight the customer. Ability to think and design holistically to create a cohesive and coherent product experience. Exceptional understanding of fundamental design principles. Strong conceptual, visual and analytical skills. Proven leadership, organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in UX Design tools such as Figma and Sketch Experience designing for both desktop and mobile web or responsive web products. Relentless attention to detail and to consistency. Ability to rapid prototype ideas with different levels of fidelity (sketch, whiteboard, wireframes, etc) Ability to collaborate well with the larger team and across teams. Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, or a related field.Preferred: Experience designing consumer-facing products.
