Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, Datacenter Operations, the Lead Network Engineer will provide support of our Infrastructure (network /server). You will be responsible for the performance reliability, and scalability of the organizations current data center infrastructure environment. Provide direction and support in the use of data center network technology to ensure system accuracy, efficiency, and control.

Essential Duties:
  • Own the architecture, drive end to end network documentation, advise on future designs, and work with vendor-based solution experts to insure company network requirements are met for today and the future roadmap
  • Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any unplanned downtime.
  • Network monitoring, notification, analysis, tuning, problem resolution, reporting, and production support
  • Perform Network software upgrades and other routine maintenance requirements
  • Design efficient network architecture and maintain performance and tuning
  • Provide direction to programmers and analysts as required to affect changes to network systems/ relationships.
  • Optimize firewall configurations and performance, security, and all port access
  • Coordinate AWS configurations and network cloud blueprints and configuration.
  • Help design processes for making safe production changes to network equipment
  • Lead and cross-train other engineers assigned to the network Tech Vertical
  • Work with leadership to establish and support strong network vendor relationships
  • Design virtual proof of concepts of upcoming network technologies
  • Strong experience with Cisco network devices and Palo Alto firewalls (8 years)
  • Establish security zone and VLAN roles and connectivity rules
  • Experience with PCI and other corporate standards certification levels and audits
  • Provide technical and functional On-Call support

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with network devices, in a multi-high volume data center environment.
  • Ability to identify, recommend, drive, and own projects and initiatives
  • Attention to detail and quality of work
  • High level of personal accountability for the continuity and improvement of the organization’s database environments, data, and processes
  • Self-motivation with a strong work ethic
  • Superior troubleshooting skills, inquisitiveness, and the ability to preemptively resolve problems
  • Provide operational readiness through the engineering, planning, coordination, and execution of performance and tuning analysis, systems support, incident and problem resolution, software installation, and upgrades.
