Growth mode for this software product company means hiring a Java based Data engineer to join this fast paced, exciting team. This company is responsible for a leading IOT security surveillance platform. The ideal candidate would be someone who is an expert with the Java, Springboot, Microservices architecture and many AWS services. This person must also have at least 2 years of production experience building ETL data pipelines for AWS storage as well, ideally in a big data environment. This is a great position for someone who is passionate about learning/using the latest technology and wants to work on big data streaming applications in a cloud environment as a data engineer. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience using Java
- Proficient with Springboot
- 2+ years as a data engineer using Python/Spark
- Deep conceptual understanding of big data ETL pipelines
- 5+ years' experience using SQL
- Strong understanding of Microservice arcitecture, REST Apis
- Expert with AWS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree
- Prior experience working in a startup is a plus
- Familiar with Ad Tech applications is a plus
- Containerization with Docker/Kuberenetes is a plus
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus
- 40% Java API engineering
