Job title: Business Systems Analyst Location: Remote/Santa Clara, CA Duration: 6 months W2 Candidates This position is not open for C2C Position Overview:
- Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
- Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
- Designs details of automated systems.
- May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
- May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
- Design solutions and processes for the ServiceNow platform
- Understand business drivers and map business needs to functional design.
- Develop future solution strategies by working closely with Business & Development teams.
- Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business use cases.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshops. Perform gap analysis (as is functionality versus to be functionality)
- Build proofs-of-concept (POC) for potential new solutions and technologies by working closely with product management and engineering teams.
- Accountable for the timely delivery of projects as per established roadmaps by working closely with business teams
- Create and present functional and technical design including data analysis to the business teams, and gather feedback to influence solution design and approach
- Act as functional expert and own the Employee Experience Mobile product/applications roadmap.
- Facilitate review sessions with functional owners and end-user representatives
- Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management
- Write and review QA and UAT test scripts
- Drive UAT with business users including coordination and user acceptance signoff
- Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements
- Minimum 12 years' experience as a business analyst or related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 10 years plus a Master's degree.
- ServiceNow platform experience in driving solutions in an enterprise environment strongly preferred.
- A proven and verifiable history of analyzing business situations and working within a group environment to provide efficient and effective software solutions.
- Experienced in preparing as-is process documentation, to-be process documentation, and performing detailed gap analysis
- Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, complex technical projects
- Demonstrated experience in project conceptualization and planning
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a business unit team and have strong influencing skills
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Must have experience preparing end-user documentation and conducting end-user training
- Business Analysis experience in a high-tech (preferable software) company highly desirable.
- Project Management experience a plus
- ServiceNow System Administrator Certification highly desired
- Flexibility to work with a variety of personalities and styles
- Adaptable to work in a varied, high-paced exiting, fun environment
- Must be technically savvy and able to design and build applications that meet business goals and objectives
- Must be a self-starter and keen to explore new solutions
- Must be someone who is intellectually curious and excited about working with customers and gets gratification from building useful IT applications and solutions
