Accounts Receivable Associate (On-site)

We are an established and rapidly growing manufacturer of plant-based food, meat/poultry and entree products, in Newark, NJ, selling to supermarkets, distributors and institutions nationwide.

We specialize in vegetarian, gluten-free, organic, and antibiotic-free product categories and are committed to producing safe, quality foods.

We are seeking an “Accounts Receivable Associate” to join our Accounting team.

Responsibilities to Include:

- Post all Cash Receipts

- Obtain backup documentation of all chargebacks and deductions

- Research the sources and causes of chargebacks with all relevant parties such as buyers, brokers, warehouse and sales staff to determine if authorized or not.

- Dispute and collect on all unauthorized chargebacks.

- Post credits in the accounting system.

- Reconcile accounts with customers.

- Review A/R Aging and conduct Collections activities.

- Disseminate reports to Management.

- Collect and submit documentation as required for audits.

Other Responsibilities

- Assist other members of the accounting team as needed.

- Ad-hoc reporting and data entry as required.

- Filing and other general tasks.

Our ideal candidate:

- Has experience in Chargebacks and Collections, ideally from large retailers such as Walmart, Costco, and Krogers.

- Accounting Degree (Bachelor or Associates)

- Must be proficient with QuickBooks, ideally familiar with SAP Business One.

- Must be proficient with Excel

- Must be comfortable working in a paperless office environment

- Is detail-oriented and highly organized.

- Can multitask well in a fast paced environment

- Maintains a professional demeanor and works well with people.

- Has well developed communication skills.
