You'll get to:
- Assist in developing a road map for lean on-site and facilitating cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or best-in-class performance in people, quality, material flow, information flow and cost.
- Assist in driving lean manufacturing philosophy throughout the site.
- Assist in the justification of capital equipment; prepare and implement layouts.
- Understand and be able to guide/coach cross functional teams on a wide range of process improvement tools to identify and eliminate waste.
- Collaborate with plant management team to assess the current state of the plant's operations, develop future state vision and implementation plan.
- Evaluate & draw up tool design improvements to enhance productivity and working capital.
- Analyze cost trends and performance.
- Data analysis and statistical problem solving - move to experience required/preferred?
- Use standard tracking and reporting systems, prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and cost savings goals.
- Control projects of a wide variety including process improvement, new equipment, vendor services, etc. to achieve timelines and cost reduction targets.
- Four (4) year technical degree in engineering with a concentration in industrial, electrical, or mechanical preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years related manufacturing, applications, tooling design engineering.
- Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, MRP, and total preventative maintenance.
- Hands on experience improving metal clip and cold forming processes and tooling.
- Extensive knowledge of Six Sigma with a proven record of cost reduction in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Experience with CAD and project management software's.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
