DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

As the Director of Admissions, you will be passionate about a prospects experience from initial contact through to potentially starting their program at Douglas J. You will play a critical role in providing leadership and support for all aspects of the admissions process to develop and implement strategies.

Your responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop the overall departmental strategy; participate in strategic planning to identify ways to increase enrollment and start rates of potential students
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching and inspiration for all Admissions team members to ensure the student experience is the best it can be.
  • Regularly review the Admissions process and strengthen as opportunities are identified.
  • Lead a centralized call center that effectively manages all incoming leads which results in achievement of goals.
  • Lead Field Admission team members and play an active role in creating grass roots community activities (e.g. career fairs, high school presentations, scholarship programs) that stimulate interest in our target market.
  • Responsible for indirect hiring, training and development of the Admissions Coordinators at each location campus.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to support the implementation of a robust marketing plan that delivers the required lead flow for the anticipated student enrollment goals.
  • Partner with each Institute Director to create a location by location student enrollment strategies which optimizes the available capacity in each location.
  • Provide training plan with support of the location leadership that enables new location Admissions Coordinators to be productive within their first sixty days.
  • Ensure all practices of the Admissions team meet the highest standards of regulations and guidelines by the institutes local and national accrediting agencies and Department of Education.
  • Be the subject matter expert for admissions software system and maximize its potential within the admissions process.
  • Travel frequently to each institute to provide hands on coaching and support.

Qualifications

Beauty industry experience a plus!

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience in Admissions preferred
