Inventory / Customer Service

I am looking for an individual to take responsibility for inventory control and customer service for a nursery that is known for our larger fruit trees and certified grape cuttings. We have bare root, specimen and container trees our mix includes shade, flowering and fruit trees.

The role that this person would need to fill is to be a spark plug and bring enthusiasm to their role to inspire others to succeed.

They will also need to know about the trees that we grow to enable them to answer customer questions or know where to find the information quickly.

Sometime will be spent in the office entering orders and creating availabilities so knowledge in the use of PlantX and Excel will be needed.

Knowledge in the use of Outlook to respond to customer bids, inquiries and orders.

Time will be spent outside helping customers load trees.

Time will be spent outside taking inventory of our various growing lines.

While away from the office taking phone calls to answer customer questions.

Job Responsibilities

To answer the phone and respond to customer inquiries in a courteous inviting manner.

To fill the customers wants as best you can with the material we have, give them options for what we do have, for example they want a pear offer the options we have for example another kind of pear.

To create the schedule and paperwork necessary for sales and shipping as well as helping load product.

Setup the harvest of product, create the digging paper, mark the tree.

Do a final quality check of the material to insure it matches customer expectations.

Create and keep up customer lists.

Assist in creating and carrying out a sales program.

To keep the inventory up to date and available for:

o Specimen trees

o Smart pots

o Bare root

 Trees

 Grapes

o Whatever else we might be selling

 To help MNO be a nice place to work through your actions and to create sales.

 To do whatever other jobs that might be needed.
