Wellness Director/Director of Nursing/RN

Nature & scope

The Wellness Director is responsible for oversight of Resident Services including coordination and supervision of personal care, medication services, staff training and supervision on a day-to-day basis as required by state regulations and Meridian Senior Living policies and procedures.

The Wellness Director is responsible for assuring an environment which is homelike, safe, and supports Resident Rights. The Wellness Director works closely with families and providers to assure good communication and continuity of care.

Minimum eligibility requirements

Licensed Nurse in good standing with State Licensing Authority. The position will be filled with an RN.

Experience of 5 years or more in the care of senior adults and adults with cognitive decline is preferred.

Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community and State officials and general public.

Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.

Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.

Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a related healthcare setting.

Must have exceptional organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks in order to accommodate fluctuating needs of the resident and community.

Must have strong documentation skills.

Must have experience in training and staff development.

Must have the ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care.

Must pass a criminal background check
