Title: Pega System Architect Location: Farmington Hills, MI Duration: Full Time Job Description: As a pivotal Pega System Architect on the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Pega IT team, you will design robust and scalable architecture, along with reusable features and products. With your experience in the latest Pega platform capabilities, you will partner with diverse Domain Leads, Business Partners, Vendors, Enterprise Architecture, and other IT Teams to provide non-functional requirements, technical governance, and guidance to the development teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute projects that support the realization of the target state. Architect new products/services/interfaces on the Pega platform with the ability to scale across the enterprise. (40%)
  • Evaluates existing systems and/or user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement system changes. Interface with Global Pega Daimler IT teams to share knowledge and develop practical, best-fit approaches (30%)
  • Seek new methods within emerging Pega platform features to reduce cost, improve performance and drive operational efficiencies (30%)

Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
  • This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:
  • Information Technology 5+ years of experience

Additional Knowledge:

Are you a System Architect who has agile methodology experience with:
  • Pega Lead Certification - CLSA or CSSA, or 5 years Pega experience if no certification
  • Breadth in designing and leading the development of products on the Pega platform in the Financial Services industry.
  • Experienced in all phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of large-scale, business-centric, and process-based Applications.

Skills:
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to Collect data and establish facts and identify trends and variances; Ability to Integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity
  • IT Skills: WebSphere or Tomcat or JBoss; J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML and Java)

Additional Skills:

Do you have knowledge or hands-on experience with:
  • Tomcat or JBoss; J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML and Java)
  • Oracle and/or DB2; MS/SQL
  • Object-Oriented techniques and principles

Education:
  • High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent of 5 years of Pega platform experience with Pega LSA or SSA certification.

Recommended majors include:
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
  • Computer/Information Science
  • Information Technology
