Business Analysts IPrimary Objective:Performs requirements gathering/elicitation and analysis in order to understand current state processes, complex business rules and desired future states of corporate initiatives, programs and projects.Principal Duties:1. Performs requirements gathering/elicitation and analysis in order to understand current state processes, complex business rules and desired future state; ensuring that the context and implications of the changes are identified and understood by the business and the project team.2. Performs Requirements Management - managing and maintaining requirements and design information from inception to project closure. Works with the business, architecture, development, and test teams to ensure that the details of the requirements are fully documented, communicated, understood and implemented.3. Analyzes requirements, forecasting the impact of the changes proposed; defining assumptions, dependencies, risks and constraints.4. Creates and maintains documentation to include Business Requirements Documents (BRD), System Requirements Specifications (SRS), use cases, use case diagrams and Requirements Traceability Matrices, ensuring the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations.5. Verifies requirements by clarifying any vague or conflicting details and ensuring the final list of requirements are clear, concise and feasible.6. Validates requirements by evaluating the requirements with regard to priority and relevancy to the project.7. Works with project managers, stakeholders and customers to validate and obtain approval for all business requirements and related deliverables.8. Has the ability to manage small to mid-sized projects without direct supervision from a Project or Program Manager.9. Provide direct supervision to business analysts10. Proficient in business/technical writing, business process modeling and business process flow.11. Proficient with creating and managing project and program budgets.12. Proficient with requirements elicitation techniques such as interviewing, questionnaires, surveys, user observation, analysis of existing documentation, workshops, storyboarding, prototyping, etc13. In depth knowledge of project management and software development lifecycles, including waterfall and agile methods; documenting requirements according to the selected methodology.14. Extensive experience in developing use cases, creating screen mockups and conducting gap analysis.15. Analyzes the BRD and SRS documents, creating technical design specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for developers to follow.16. Adhere to the established Departmental Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.17. Work with Manager to maintain your individual development plan; training to keep current in KAG standards, procedures, business functions, company goals and business analyst competencies.18. Participate in departmental activities as needed to improve work processes or improve customer-supplier relationships.19. Help mentor, train and otherwise orient more junior team members in departmental functions or customers in system related functions and business analyst related competencies.Supplemental Information:The successful candidate will have: A 2 or 4-year degree in computer science or related equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of Business Analyst and/or Project Management experience. Past hands-on experience developing applications, preferably using Microsoft's .Net development environment. Relational Database knowledge, specifically DB design and normalization. Project Management working knowledge. Proficient use of the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. Experience with project budget and cost management. Excellent meeting facilitation skills. Proficient with business and systems process modeling. Strong analysis, design, documentation and presentation skills. Must be able to manage and coordinate multiple assignments to meet established deliverable dates and project schedules. The ability and genuine desire to quickly learn new business processes, applications, skills and technologies. The ability to work independently as well as interface and work well with management, peers, customers and vendors in a team setting. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Previous experience with direct supervision of staff members. Experience with testing and/or quality assurance methodologies a plus. Experience with data analytics a plus. PMI, CBAP, BABOK or equivalent certification(s) a plus.
