IBA is currently recruiting for a Human Factors Engineer to support our government client in Frederick, MD. The Human Factors Engineer will provide a human factors subject matter expertise to ongoing and future projects. They will design, evaluate, and review prototype medical products from a human factors and ergonomic perspective. This position will require a holistic approach to understanding user interaction of various medical products of different modalities such as task analyses, user testing, heuristic evaluations, and physiological monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop human factors research, design, and testing of medical products and services from the user-centered design perspective.
- Assist in the development of user models through task analysis, process modeling, and user interviews.
- Plan and execute human performance and usability studies for a variety of user environments.
- Perform statistical analysis of behavioral and subjective user data.
- Use proven human factors methodologies and tools in order to recommend changes to improve product design or process development.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- College degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human Factors Psychology, or related field required. Degree can be either a bachelor's or a master's degree, or both.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience. Experience shall demonstrate the ability to perform functional requirements and include a broad range of assignments performing analytical and/or technical requirements and analysis.
- Three (3) years' of relevant human factors experience.
- Experience assisting with medical modeling and simulation, proposals, and standards.
- Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
