Lead Carpenter Remodeling Tile Installers

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking to hire a skilled Lead Carpenter to provide detailed work and precise craftsmanship skills to the project team involved in residential construction and remodeling projects. The Lead Carpenter’s responsibilities include hands on work while also assisting the Foreman in explaining tasks to the unskilled laborers of project team. You should also be able to help the production manager / crew foreman in solving project-related problems.

As a successful as a Lead Carpenter, you should provide regular progress updates to the foreman. Ultimately, an exceptional Lead Carpenter should be able to perform all assigned tasks in the residential remodeling scope of work on any assigned project without direct oversight from the other leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assigning and explaining tasks to the unskilled laborers of the project team.

Communicating with the foreman in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed.

Adapting and adjusting to project schedules accordingly.

Overseeing the company's unskilled and semi-skilled workers to ensure work is being completed properly.

Performing all carpentry duties required in residential construction and remodeling, including both rough and finish carpentry.

Maintaining accurate knowledge of the exact work required on each assigned project with a complete understanding of the scope.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver's license.

Dependable transportation to and from the job site.

Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction.

Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.

The ability to safely operate power tools.

The ability to read blueprints and project manuals that define the scope of work.

Excellent time management skills.

Effective communication skills.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to pass re-employment and random drug screening.

Must have own tools.

Be a team player

No hotheads or slackers.

Must meet production goals.

No call-offs (except in extreme emergencies) or repeated tardiness.

Willingness to work Saturdays and a minimum of 40-60 hour work weeks at any given time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,050.00 per week including overtime

Hours: 60 hours per week

Schedule: Monday thru Saturday

Supplemental Pay: Production Bonus Pay
