COMPANY PRODUCT AND OVERVIEW

PivotPoint Retail Solutions, Inc. is a retail analytics and marketing services organization that serves independent retailers, their product vendors, and the retail networks that join them together. For 30 years, its partner company The Parable Group has provided data-driven marketing and retail management technologies through specialty bookstores in the faith market. PivotPoint Insights is a retail management software platform that integrates and anonymously aggregates POS (point of sale) data from independent retailers. This platform provides retailers and vendors with data views to manage retail inventory, improve turns, act on sales trends, free up cash and activate and measure customer marketing.

OVERVIEW

The Product Manager will have responsibility for the success of PivotPoint Insights and Marketing products and will bring together customer voice, user engagement, product design, product analytics and technical development to increase adoption of these products. Working in partnership with customer, marketing and technology teams, this person will provide project and product management to accomplish the company’s revenue and growth objectives. The best candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with business and technical staff, demonstrate high capacity for detailed project management, and have a strong grasp or experience with retail management and metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development

Requirements: Gather product enhancement and data display requirements in coordination with customer

and technologists. Develop and share business and technical requirements.

Feature Prioritization: Create and manage a shared list of features with status, estimate, and priority based

on key stakeholders' input.

Design: Facilitate the UI/UX design process to create best-in-class visual layouts in coordination with

customer inputs and development roadmap.

Scoping & Estimations: Work with IT and engineering to estimate development effort required.

Roadmap: Prepare future-looking roadmaps that are informed by near-term feature prioritization, resource

availability and business/revenue opportunity.

Communications: Keep all cross-functional stakeholders informed throughout the development process,

sharing progress, issues, risks, and opportunities.

Customer Advocate

Connect with prospective and current users to understand user needs, problems, and challenges. Users have a

wide array of interests and needs with the data; user types include retail owners, retail managers, retail

buyers, brand sales leaders, brand sales reps, brand marketing teams, association leadership and supply

chain administrators.

Collect and synthesize user input through email, phone, survey, and in-person feedback methods.

Customer Engagement and Analytics: Develop and manage user engagement dashboards. Develop strategies

for improving user engagement through product development and product marketing.

Product Marketing

Connect customer need to feature & benefit in product marketing and messaging

Work with the sales team to develop product sales presentations and positioning

Assess competition by comparing products and producing competitive market analyses

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

Analytical and creative thinking with a unique ability to simplify the complex

Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and manage multiple work streams simultaneously

Excellent communication (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations

and articulate clearly.

Education: BA/BS in Business or Technical field or equivalent working experience

Work experience: 3+ years of product management, product development, or project management experience

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

Experience working in early-stage product development with ability to identify product / customer / market

fit.

Technical capacity: Substantial experience in technology and software development

Retail experience and understanding of retail and supply chain metrics .
