Job Title: IT Asset Analyst - Senior

Location: El Dorado Hills, CA (Manager is also open for remote candidates)

Duration: 12 months assignment with the

possibility for extension

Responsibilities:
  • Work within our Software Management System to record software purchases in accordance with software industry standards
  • Use your expertise and knowledge in software licensing models to ensure the proper recording and reconciliation of software assets
  • Work with internal stakeholders to confirm consumption calculations and ensure they meet expectations
  • Remediate license positions with internal software owners/stakeholders
  • Partner with the IT Contracting Team members who are responsible for procuring the software assets.
  • Use your analytical skills, including the ability to run ad hoc reports and provide data to various stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret data and make recommendations based on the information
  • Appropriately communicate and educate members of other functions on Software Asset Management policies, procedures, processes, and practices.
  • Act within defined policies and guidelines
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Establish and sustain a positive influence on the performance of others within IT, the company, and vendors, as applicable
  • Anticipate problems and initiates actions as required
  • Support software audits by providing correct and accurate information upon request
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:
  • In-depth experience with software licensing
  • Experience with deployment or utilization of software asset management (SAM) tools in mid to large scale organizations (minimum of 5 years)
  • Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:
  • Certified as a Software Asset Manager
  • Experience with the Flexera SAM system and Service Now
  • Experience with managing and reconciling complex software publishers (e.g. IBM, Oracle)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT, with 8+ years in asset management

Software Skills Required:
  • Microsoft Suite, including Excel; knowledge of Software Asset Management systems
