Our business and our employee’s positions are predominantly tied to the school year. During the summer months, employees who are assigned a school-based role are working sporadically or possibly not at all, however, they remain as ‘active’ employees covered under the company’s benefit plans ( i.e. medical, dental, etc.)

We collect premiums from employees to cover the cost of their benefits for the summer months. Employees have two options, they can ‘pay in advance’ via paycheck deduction or ‘pay as you go’ remitting payments (mainly via ACH withdrawal) monthly from June - August.

This role will administer the summer premium payment program and reconcile and collect premiums from employees.

Reconcile regular premium payments.

Audit summer prepayments at the completion of each predetermined payment schedule by running reports in Kronos payroll system to identify who is not current on premiums.

Monitor premium payments for employees who may not a part of the summer prepay process, yet who may go unpaid and have outstanding premium payments that need to be collected (i.e., Spread)

Notify employees of when insurance may be canceled due to failure to pay and inform employees of consequences as a result of cancellation.

Create a tracking system that can be used for monitoring and reporting progress.

Skills needed:

Intermediate Excel to include Vlookups and formulas and experience using spreadsheets

Experience working in AP/AR or Collections highly preferred

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Detail-oriented

Google Sheets/Docs

Experience with Kronos helpful, but not required
