Landscape Supervisor for Hire

We are a full service landscape contractor looking to hire a motivated landscape supervisor to manage a landscape production crew based out of Waikoloa. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience/education in the landscape industry, minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, a valid and clean drivers license/record, high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, ability for regular attendance and ability to lift up to 50 Lbs. This position's job duties include supervising a landscape installation crew which includes the following job tasks:

+Machinery Operation & Maintenance- Ability to operate light and medium sized machinery including but not limited to Skid Steer Loader, Track Loader, Mini Excavator and backhoe. Knowledge and understanding of routine maintenance and organize to schedule maintenance with manager including upkeep of maintenance logs.

+In-field supervision of landscape crew- Supervision of one landscape crew up to 5 crew members including directly supervising and performing work, direct communication with management throughout day and organizing work to be completed in organized and productive manner.

+Plan reading and material take-off for installation projects- Ability to read blueprints and job specifications/notes and apply to in-field installation methods and techniques. Organization and communication of with manager about material quantities and prepare material lists for small projects in the field. Ability and understanding of installation methods and techniques to line out work in the field for landscape crew including irrigation systems, grading, edging/hardscapes and plant placement in accordance with plans.

+Project material acquisition and inventory control- Ability and organization to order, receive and verify all deliveries in the field. Understanding of quality control and ability to approve/unapproved materials in field based upon industry quality standards.

+In-field supervision of landscape crew- Supervision of one landscape crew up to 5 crew members including directly supervising and performing work, direct communication with management throughout day and organizing work to be completed in organized and productive manner.

+Job documentation- Organization and preparation of daily work logs, project field documentation and machinery maintenance/production logs

Qualified applicants should be knowledgeable in landscape construction methods and techniques including grading, irrigation, plant materials, decorative retaining walls/walkways, machinery operating and general landscape maintenance. Applicants should have general understanding of landscape production and methods to complete work in timely manner.
