- Serve as the first line of contact for most employee policy/practice questions and general HR guidance needs. Escalate to the HR Director as appropriate.
- Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgement as this role s recommendations carry significant weight with respect to business outcomes.
- Partner with the HR Director to understand our overall human capital needs and collaborate on how to best support those goals.
- Partner with the HR Director to drive our onboarding and training programs. This includes defining clear metrics, regularly reporting on progress, analyzing trends, and making strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Help supervisors communicate clear and measurable growth opportunities for employees.
- Regularly engage with employees to ensure a steady connection and engagement (aka keeping our fingers on the pulse ).
- Support our recruiting efforts. This requires collaborating closely with supervisors to understand talent needs, then creating strategies to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
- Partner with the Finance team to ensure wage and hour compliance.
- Support multi-state compliance, including, but not limited to, Leave of Absence, ADA/Interactive Process, Workers Compensation, OSHA, ERISA, and related federal, state, and local requirements.
- In partnership with the HR Director, ensure data integrity for the Company s HRIS (HR Information System/Paycor) and continually leverage technology to drive efficiency.
- Promote employee safety and well-being by educating employees on available HR resources.
- Collaborate with the HR Director on compensation and benefits administration efforts.
- Deliver training to all levels of the organization on various HR topics.
- Track and identify meaningful metrics to help us understand what is working well, what is not, why, and how to improve.
- Identify ways that we can improve our employee experience.
- Keep us apprised of HR trends, specifically those that affect our industry and geography.
- Offer thought leadership and consultative guidance to all levels of internal customers.
- Prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once.
- Perform medium administrative/data entry, including maintenance of our personnel files.
- Build strong internal, external, and cross-functional relationships.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- 3+ years of relevant HR experience.
- Preferred: PHR/SPHR designation or above.
- Optional: Exposure to the cannabis industry.
- Ability to maintain an incredibly high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidence, confidentially, and composure during difficult and/or complex situations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while successfully managing multiple tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of employment/labor laws and practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work, influence, problem solve, and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record in people leadership (supporting, developing, engaging) with demonstrated teambuilding and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor s degree in related field at a four-year college or university
