Software Engineer

Stefanini is looking for a Software Engineer in Chicago, IL Key Responsibilities ? Design and development of web-based internet and intranet applications ? Analyze and troubleshoot problems in web-based software application ? Build interfaces using REST/SOAP API with third party applications ? Design and develop new user interfaces for applications ? Build database models for applications ? Create business workflows using commercial software ? Perform testing, QC and monitoring of applications ? Prepare user and system manuals Python, ReactJS and AWS services are the most important skills for this role (in that order) Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Client/Server ApplicationsPython - Expert level skillsHTML5/CSS3/jQuery/ReactJS/TypeScript/Javascript - Expert level skillsDatabases - extensive experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB - Expert level skills REST API/JSON design patterns - Intermediate level skills Docker and Kubernetes - Intermediate level skills Deployment tools - ant, Junit, Jenkins, AWS Codebuild - Intermediate level skills Apache Spark - Basic knowledge desired Knowledge of bootstrap, require.js, SCSS a plus Ideal candidate must have deep experience and knowledge in:AWS servicesFront-end UI and back-end application architecture designApplication development using SQL/NoSQL databasesObject-Oriented Design (OOD) Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:Excellent organization skills, ability to diagnose problemsSelf-starter; candidate who can jump in quickly without a lot of directionStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be energetic, able to clearly communicate ideasWilling to be on call for support when needed
