Computer Operator

A Computer Operator job in Fremont, MI is available courtesy of Modis. In this position, you will operate a variety of computer systems including Z/OS Enterprise Server, Window Server, high speed Xerox laser printers and other computer operations tasks to ensure efficient computer center operations. This position will be working Mon - Fri 9pm – 5am. This is a long term contract position.

Computer Operator job responsibilities include:

Monitor computer center operations; ensure all scheduled jobs run at designated times

Respond to console messages, alarms and equipment signals according to operating procedures

Operate computers, printers, terminals and other peripheral devices;

Monitor the status of the daily backup jobs for all assigned locations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or working towards a degree

Excellent computer skills in a MS Windows environment – Mainframe experience is preferred but not required

Knowledge of Excel and skills in Access
