Web Application Developer

Position: Web Application Developer Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire Location: Montgomery, AL Project Description: We are seeking a developer who has experience in coding and modifying an existing website from the layout to the functionality according to the client's specifications. Duties in this position include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for writing/modifying computer applications/programs and web pages to assist in the re-design of the department's current site by incorporating management's requests, using tools and techniques to maintain content in a user-friendly manner.
• Responsible for coding, testing, and documenting applications to ensure systems operate as defined within the requirements.
• Assist web contributors in the re-design and coordinate updates to the web servers.
• Possess strong skills in implementing the design integration of the back-end and front-end aspects of the web application to translate user experience and interface related to the department's mission.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and self-motivated

• WordPress
• Google Analytics or Web Analytical software
• Content Management System

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of combined IT and graphic design experience.
• Able to understand HTML and strong working knowledge of Web generators and photographic libraries

• Knowledge of web development/programming.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science.
