Network Engineer Bellevue, WA 3 Months CTH Our Client is looking for an experienced Network Engineer with a solid technical background combined with excellent customer service skills.A successful candidate will design, plan, and implement various cloud and on-prem network technologies delivering reliable, scalable systems and achieving operational excellence. This role will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure and will be located at client's office in Bellevue, WA. Responsibilities: Work with multiple teams to design and operate the global network infrastructure required to deliver world class service to our customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical and technical audience. Become intimately familiar with the architecture of our hybrid and multi-cloud environments and be responsible for our 24x7 availability Perform network analysis, modelling, and planning Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex network problems Upgrade network hardware and software components as required Provide escalated systems support for Service Desk, problem resolution, and mentoring across the Corporate IT team. Conduct in-depth technical investigations to determine root cause. Evaluate and monitor usage to ensure capacity is meeting growth requirements. Partner with the compliance and security teams to prevent, detect, and investigate suspicious activity. Rotating escalation support to our on-call staff of our corporate infrastructure. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: 5+ years managing network infrastructure in production environments Experience with Cisco, Meraki, and at least one IaaS (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) network stack Advance working knowledge to troubleshoot all layers of the OSI model. Advanced understanding of routing, switching, firewalls and VPN technologies. Experience with macOS, Windows and Linux Operating Systems for troubleshooting Strong understanding in DNS, DHCP, BGP and OSPF. Excellent problem-solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility. Knowledge (preferably experience) in building distributed, highly available networks 2+ years of experience with common scripting or programming languages. Demonstrated experience leading a project delivering network services automation Foundational knowledge of ITIL concepts and frameworks required. Must possess the ability to work an occasional evening, holiday, or weekend Ability to lift 50 pounds required, with bending and mobility to move large objects.
