Our Client is a growing company located in beautiful Westlake Village, CA. We are looking for a driven individual to join us as a Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, flexible, proactive, and have excellent negotiation skills. Procurement Specialist Responsibilities: • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other relevant factors • Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requests for goods and services • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods • Negotiate, renegotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives • Generate demand forecasts, combining historical data, current inventory, and marketing plans • Coordinate with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods • Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered • Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive • Ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company with leadership • Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements • Managing the status of accounts and balances and identifying inconsistencies • Issuing bills, receipts and invoices Requirements: • Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) • 2+ years proven experience working as a procurement specialist • Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills • Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building • Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary • Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive results while managing many priorities and under tight timeframes • High energy, good attitude, and high accountabilityEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
