Las Vegas College (LVC) in Henderson, NV has an immediate need for an RN-to-BSN Program Chair. Under the direction of the Director of Education, the RN-to-BSN Program Chair will provide academic and administrative leadership for the RN-to-BSN program.

Responsible for managing the overall operation of the RN-to-BSN program and supervising the activities of the faculty and staff including, but not limited to, recruiting, orienting, training, directing, and evaluating; contributing to curriculum development, program accreditation, and performing other duties as assigned. Additionally, the RN-to-BSN Program Chair will play a key role as they work with other academic leaders in course and program curriculum assessment and development. The RN-to-BSN Program Chair will promote student success and help meet expected program outcomes aligned with the LVC mission, vision, and values. Program Chairs work closely with faculty on assessment efforts at the classroom, course, and program level including assisting with classroom observations and reviewing student evaluations of faculty and courses. Program Chairs take a leadership role in advising faculty and students concerning academic requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Must hold a graduate degree with a major in nursing and is doctorally prepared.

· Four (4) years of professional nursing experience.

· Experience teaching in a BSN program.

· Unencumbered, current nursing license in the State of Nevada.

· Experience in working with nursing accreditation and/or state nursing regulatory agencies.

· Strong interpersonal skills including strong individual and group communication skills.

· Demonstrated strong writing and report preparation skills.

· Experience with course and curriculum development.

· Successful supervisory experience.

· Budget management experience.

· Computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office Suites and CANVAS.

· Contributes to development and updates to course and clinical delivery systems.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

· Normal office environment.

· May include professional development and other program activities that require overnight stays and evening meetings.

Salary:

Salary range is commensurate with education and experience.
