Technical/Functional Skills

Experience Required As a Product Owner (PO) you will serves as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders-including other POs-to define and prioritize stories in the Team Backlog. You will be working closely with Product Management, engineering teams, and architects to define and prioritize features and stories, to ensure alignment with customer and program needs, and improve value of development. Responsibilities:
  • Build and refine requirements / stories and define acceptance criteria in a manner understandable the team (e.g., INVEST)
  • Running Sprint planning, Backlog grooming, Sprint demos and other scrum ceremonies.
  • Partner with Product Development and other partner teams to prepare for PI (Program Increment) planning and Big-Room Planning
  • Communicate trade-offs between customer expectations and engineering realities to Product Management and align on prioritization
  • 8+ year of experience working as a product owner
  • GIS experience is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrates effective team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and servant leadership skills
  • Demonstrated working experience within a SAFe or Agile methodology and utilizing agile practices
  • Experience with agile tools such as Jira a plus.
  • Be familiar with modern software CI / CD practices including test driven development and usage of GitHub.
  • Strong facilitation skills within teams and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong negotiation skills
