This role supports the ideation and development of visual artifacts, prototypes and interfaces for potential and current users of products and services within the AI, ML and data science/analytics marketplace.As part of a team consisting of data scientists, cloud and software engineers, and domain experts, the UI/UX Designer / Developer will provide leadership and hands-on effort for user experience, design and development of interfaces as products and services mature from concepts (research; prototype UI screens through to clickable prototypes; broadly targeted marketing content through to individual customer presentations; and visual aspects of business proposals) to client services and marketable products (web application frontend development and support).Expertise is required across the spectrum of UI/UX design techniques, from modern tooling for the creation of visuals/wireframes/prototypes to front-end web application development in the cloud using contemporary libraries/frameworks.The UI/UX Designer / Developer must have experience working in agile DevOps teams and familiarity with development processes, tools, environments, code repositories, and deployment to the cloud. Requirements
- Combined seven (7) years of experience in UX/UI Design and Application Development/Support
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Proven experience with UX/UI design concepts, activities and artifacts such as stakeholder/user interviews, card sorting, personas, user journeys, wireframes, and clickable prototypes (portfolio preferred)
- Hands-on experience with visual tools such as Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and Sketch
- Proven experience with front-end web application development using libraries/frameworks such as React, Angular, and Backbone
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting web applications in the cloud
- Strong Agile/DevOps focus having worked in teams using Scrum, SAFe, Jira, Bitbucket, and GitHub
- Demonstrated ability to work within teams and interface with customers/end users that have a variety of backgrounds (business, mission, technical).
- Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Worked in or provided services to the Federal Government, preferably the Federal Health Sector
- Knowledge of modern AI, ML and data science/analytics concepts and techniques
- Grasp of basic statistical concepts
- Experience with AWS as a development and production environment for web applications
- Strong problem-solving ability
