The Reporting Center of Excellence delivers innovation and BI tools to global business functions across General Mills. In this role, you will work directly with IT, International Teams, Consultants, 3rd Party Vendors and key Business Partners to design and develop sustainable solutions, critical governance, and insights that allow our business to grow.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead enterprise-wide reporting initiatives
  • Lead consultant for enterprise, segment and functional reporting efforts
  • Transform business processes by working across teams and functions to extract insights
  • Define enterprise reporting standards, best practices and approved reporting techniques
  • Consult and partner with leadership to develop sound training, test, communication and change management plans
  • Organize and lead design, code & process review sessions to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and performance guidelines
  • Manage reporting requirements collection; construct the conceptual model and design data flow processes
  • Develop technical architectures and prototypes for initiatives through coordination with enterprise architect teams
  • Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot technical and performance issues in the big data ecosystem
  • Direct all communication of design and data architecture to development teams
  • Organize and lead design reviews with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met
  • Partner with development teams to bring cross-functional synergies into delivery

Client Relationship Management
  • Develop the technology and capability roadmap with senior business leaders
  • Lead organizational skills development programs
  • Manage the creation and alignment of client Service Level Agreements
  • Partner with Solutions Development to bring new scalable solutions to business functions
  • Coordinate triage efforts, resolve client issues and system improvements
  • Responsible for achieving Service Excellence goals
  • Reconcile all project work, feedback and identified opportunities with clients

Business Development & Operations
  • Evaluate, implement and oversee business deployment of emerging reporting tech
  • Develop and ensure documentation of reporting best practices
  • Manage project prioritization sessions with IT and Solutions partners
  • Achieve annual growth and service quality objectives
  • Identify and lead improvement opportunities and risk mitigation efforts
  • Partner with IT to be a business advocate for tools and data needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working directly and consulting with business clients to design a solution
  • Experience with tools and concepts related to data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
  • Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Business Objects, VBA or Cloud analytics experience
  • Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT/Streaming processes
  • Database development experience using Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server, SAP BW or SAP HANA
  • Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes or technology
  • Experience creating dashboards using Tableau or other similar visualization tools (PowerBI, Microstrategy, R Shiny, QlickSense, Business Objects, etc)

  • Deep understanding of user experience (UX), design and customer service principles
