Lead Web Development Engineer

The HT Group is working with a well known and reputable company in Austin with a global presence who is looking for a Lead Web Development Engineer on a full time / direct hire basis. We are looking for someone who loves building websites, involved in systems integration and can help great a collaborative team environment. You will help be a hands on lead and mentor to be a part of a well rounded organization and be integral in bringing web strategy to advance platforms into the next phases of technology development. Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers, designers, and product teams to build modern, customer-centric websites.
• Solve complex problems and implement designs following industry best practices using customer WordPress, LAMP and JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Lead team in the use of Agile practices
• Contribute ideas for website improvements and solutions to technology challenges
• Deliver clean code, maintaining design, user experience and brand requirements throughout the development process.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of existing code.

• 4+ years of WordPress and Object-Oriented PHP web development experience
• 4+ years of modern front-end development experience using technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 (including animations, transforms, and flexbox), Bootstrap, JQuery, and Sass/LESS
• Knowledgeable of Git, SVN, or TFS
• Experience with MySQL
• Understanding of responsive web design, UX/UI
• Agile/Scrum knowledge and ability to lead scrums, stand ups, etc across different teams
• Understanding of SEO tools such as Google Analytics

• Experience with CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or CircleCI
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, and AppliTools
• Experience with dev automation tools like Grunt or Gulp and package managers like npm
