Our technology-driven client in Seattle is seeking a talented Data Infrastructure Solr/Search Engineer to ensure a cutting-edge, reliable instructure with ease of use that enables teams to build successful data intensive applications. Rate: $80-$90/hr

Responsibilities of the Data Infrastructure Solr/Search Engineer:
  • Manage and operate search infrastructure built on top of SolrCloud
  • Collaborate across AI/ML teams to analyze and optimize their search and indexing needs
  • Diagnose, fix, improve, and automate complex issues across search stack
  • Establish SLAs for all indexing and search use cases in production
  • Write code, documentation, participate in code reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers

Requirements of the Data Infrastructure Solr/Search Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience configuring, scaling, and troubleshooting search infrastructure
  • Experience with alerting and automation in a large-scale distributed environment
  • Programming experience in Java, Python, or similar languages
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for data processing and search technologies
  • Experience with AWS and Kubernetes a big plus
