Summary DTS sustains a culture of hard-working and highly motivatedemployees. Under the supervision of the Director of Sales &Marketing, the Sales Engineer is responsible for both direct sales andworking with DTS reseller channels to promote DTS products and servicesglobally. This is a dynamic position requiring a combination ofexcellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task as well asincorporating effective people skills. Additional responsibilities and requirements may change at anytime with or without notice. Responsibilities and Duties include butare not limited to:

  • Supports global sales activities of the DTS COTS products.
  • Works with the Sales Director and global Sales Managers to create and maintain a sales plan focused on increasing DTS sales, including short- and long-term strategies.

  • Creates sales quotations and detailed proposals.
    Develops and maintains a sales forecast and reporting.
  • Helps define potential custom accessories or products needed to complete complex customer application solutions.
  • Conducts on-site and virtual product demonstrations, including Sales Partner training.
  • Maintains and updates CRM database.
  • Assists in identifying new products to meet customer needs.
  • Interfaces with customer service and technical support departments to assure that customer expectations are met.
  • Attends tradeshows and regional seminars.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent and previous (approximately 2+ years) sales experience in the Test and Measurement or related industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • A hands-on working knowledge of data acquisition hardware, sensors, and associated software is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of the technical sales process, with proven interpersonal skills, and passion to pursue a career path in sales. Formal Sales training is a plus.
  • Experience with dynamic test and measurement applications with the ability to understand customer requirements and propose solutions is necessary.
  • High level skills with MS Windows PCs and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and must also master several DTS software products essential to doing the job is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills (product demonstration and PowerPoint)
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to learn and respond quickly to new and challenging tasks, as needed is necessary.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Equipment Use This positionworks in an environment in which safety, environmental and healthconcerns may demand constant attention. The work environment is aproduction and engineering area and typical business office. Theemployee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and have the abilityto lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Work Schedule Work hours will bedetermined based on business and customer needs but are predominantlyscheduled Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and at times couldinclude overtime if necessary.
