RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in search of a Senior Desktop Support in West Hills, CA.Duties: Supporting IT Project(s) working in a medical laboratory environment The project entails upgrading users from Windows 7/Office2010 to Windows 10/Office365; Either an in-place/existing machine upgrade or to a new machine upgrade Responsible for supporting the upgrades of Desktops & Laptops from Windows 7 to either a new system on Windows 10, or an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 or an upgrade to Igel Linux OS Provide end users support post upgrade Responsible for mutually scheduling the end user upgrade including proper communication with end users on timeline and ETA of migration completion Physically remove old hardware and install new hardware at a given site for a user Troubleshooting of hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers; Install hardware and software on workstations; Utilize ticketing system, when necessary; Re-image computers perform data migrations and restorations, and conduct remote problem solving when required Work independently and as a large national team Will need to support both Onsite, Remote and VPN users/sites Provide timely updates on progress and update metric spreadsheet daily Required to provide post upgrade end user supportREQUIREMENTS: 6+ years of prior experience in an onsite desktop support role is required Must possess a working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations, and have strong software experience Proficient in Microsoft OneDrive data backup and Outlook PST Import Windows 7 Proficiency Office/Outlook 2010 Proficiency Windows 10 Proficiency Office/Outlook 365 Proficiency User Data/Email migration (OneDrive & conventional data transfer) Understanding of Laptop/Desktop Encryption (Bitlocker & Credant) Microsoft SCCM Application Deployment IT Asset Management tasks Citrix Workspace familiarity Needs to have excellent software and hardware troubleshooting skills Ability to interact with various departments within the organization and communicate to various management levels Strong written and oral communication skills Successful experience with managing multiple tasks Professional (as well as manage stress/pressure) Quick learner (eager to learn, can listen attentively & take notes) Time Management Skills (can juggle multiple requests sensibly, punctual) Respectful Personality Must have excellent software and hardware troubleshooting skills Ability to formally communicate via email, phone and face to face with customers/end users (following covid19 & social distancing policies) with proper ethics Depending on the site, the resource will be required to travel between Sites; Mileage reimbursement between Quest Diagnostics sites will be paidKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
