Production/Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of production volume within time limits. You will also be responsible for forklift operations and safety, insuring that production meets and exceeds daily performance expectations.

Responsibilities

Scanning loads of products that are being shipped, ensuring that customer needs and quality are being upheld.

Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance

Organize and maintain inventory and storage area

Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy

Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status

Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

Confer and coordinate activities with other departments

Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Reliable transportation is required

Skills

Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor

Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques

Knowledge of warehouse software packages, MS Office proficiency, and ability to read and operate warehouse machinery and charts.

Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations

Strong organisational and time management skills

Must have at least two years of experience operating a forklift, with at least one year of high stack experience. Forklift certification is preferred.

Must have experience handling product, coordinating and communicating with drivers and other product handlers.
