Project Manager, Diagnostic Firmware SummaryThe Product Integrity group is looking for a Project Manager with experience planning and releasing firmware deliverables.In this role, you will support the Diagnostics Firmware team, delivering software used on a popular consumer electronics companies products, and interacting with a variety of internal teams. The ideal applicant is an experienced project manager who has a track record of acute organization, flexibility under pressure, and general curiosity about the projects they are involved with. ResponsibilitiesYou will be laying out schedules, tracking bringup, and driving debug efforts, for a team that creates firmware interfaces, protocols, and drivers for companies SoCs.This is a highly multi-functional role and you’ll work closely with various groups like Electrical Engineers, Systems Integrators, Hardware Testing, Quality Assurance, FactoryEngineers, Manufacturing and Operations Engineers. You will Build, maintain and drive the following:

  • New project requirements
  • Internal firmware schedules
  • Hardware asset ordering and distribution
  • Relationships both within and external to the firmware teams
  • Achieve and maintain expected productivity levels with minimal supervision
  • Act as a mentor and interact with team members at all levels of skill and cross functional expertise
Requirements
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Understand the hardware, and the specific components around firmware.
  • Publishing schedules back to hardware team. bringing it online. See how far along the hardware is. Adding functions to firmware.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Organizational and presentation skills
  • Analytical and acute attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative & critical thinking skills
Additional Qualifications
  • Familiarity with software life cycle and development processes (Agile, scrum,waterfall, etc.)
  • Proven ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies as required to support new projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
EducationBS degree in Computer Science, Software or related Engineering fields; Equivalent practical experience. Duration: 6-12 monthsLocation: WFH, Cupertino, CA (return to office after SIP)
