You understand the current and best solutions for ingesting, managing and presenting analytics over high volume data stores. You know what tool works best for the job and are capable of designing architecture to unique but flexible requirements. You are willing and able to help us create innovative solutions in the areas of Application Development, IoT and industrial automation. Our team is focused on delivering value to the business through innovative internal and customer-facing digital solutions. You'll also have:

  • At least 5 years' experience with a statistical analysis in Python or R
  • At least 5 years' experience with a language for building applications: node, Go
  • At least 5 years' experience in designing and managing analytics solutions in one of AWS Azure, google cloud - our preference is strongly towards AWS
  • At least 3 years' experience with NoSQL databases (CouchDB, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
  • At least 3 years' experience with SQL in major relational database systems (Postgres, MySQL) and how to apply SQL in big data query tools
  • At least 2 years of experience with event-driven systems, messaging (NATS, Kafka) and how microservices architecture is enabled
  • At least 2 years of experience with containerization tools & services, e.g., Docker, AWS Fargate, AWS ECS
  • Experience with designing and maintaining massive(multi-terabyte) and growing data warehouses or data lakes in the cloud
  • Experience with OLAP databases (Redshift) and columnar storage databases performant with big data analytics
  • Experience with designing fast APIs involving complex custom analytics over > billion-row tables focused on streaming data from IoT devices
  • Experience with time-series databases (influxDB, snowflake db) for managing data from IoT devices to perform fast aggregations over time periods
  • Experience with distributed large data query tools (spark, Hadoop/pig, presto/AWS Athena) and designing cluster infrastructure for fast computation
  • Preferable experience with a data analytics managed services such (databricks, dash enterprise, dataiku) to facilitate design of big data analytic processing architecture
  • Serverless cloud architecture (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB)
  • Continual integration and enforcement of best security practices in the cloud for modern web applications including built-in AWS security mechanisms (e.g., vpc, authorization policies, cognito)
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics or related fields
What You'll Do As a Senor Big Data Analytics Architect,you'll be part of our Industrial Team working remotely.Specifically, you'll:
  • Architectand implementautomated data pipelines to clean and process production data into flexible data stores to support our customer facing web tools that provides analytics, dashboards, visualizations and machine learning as well as third party API integration
  • Contribute to the back-end architecture design and implementation of a data intensive application
  • Designing and developing cloud-based pipelines to ingest data from a wide variety of data formats (csv, parquet, ndjson), through standard protocols (http, mqtt) and physical gateways
  • Recommending databases or designing data stores for handling high volume and high velocity data intake from IoT enabled equipment
  • Designing an efficient and secure means to provide access to latest data to data science teams for additional research into predictive and prescriptive maintenance
  • Designing methods for enabling analytics visualizations based on data lakes or data warehouses and choosing analytics dashboarding tools appropriately
  • Engineering database and data store schemas to optimally serve analytics queries based on flexible and ever-changing requirements
  • Designing a metadata-driven architecture handle the continual change of data formats and structure and enable backwards compatibility
  • Designing ingestion and processing pipelines for handling and visualizing real-time data
  • Designing scalable deployments for machine learning models to perform efficiently and for a wide variety of consumers simultaneously
  • Implementation and management of cloud resources through AWS services for solutions with the right cost- effective components according to best practices
