- Use strong analytical skills with knowledge of business rules associated with claim payment, adjudication, and benefit administration/provider reimbursement
- Perform assigned daily work to meet all internal and external service level expectations.
- Perform initial and peer-to-peer level quality review and test procedures to ensure all components of benefit programs are correct
- Participate in departmental and ad-hoc meetings and work groups, as designated.
- Provide peers with cross-training to ensure that consistent methodologies and best- practice strategies are utilized
- Perform project work as assigned by Management.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination or experience and education
- One to three (3) years of related experience
- Prior experience as a senior analyst, senior customer service representative, senior provider service representative, or senior claim processing in claim operations, or similar role.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization.
- General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
- Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
- General problem-solving abilities
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
