DTSI is currently seeking a talented Senior Software Project Manager to lead a dedicated software development team on moderately complex to complex programs using a mixture of both waterfall and agile methodologies. Qualified candidate will be an expert in developing and streamlining project documentation and will have experience in writing product evaluation papers and senior staff summary documents. The candidate will also manage current and future projects, programs, or enhancements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee a multi-function project team with at least 10-15 team members including Developers, Analysts, and Software Testing Specialists
- Participate in all phases of software development processes with emphasis on project management phases of planning, execution, and monitoring and controlling
- Foster a dynamic and productive team environment through relationship-building, conflict resolution and effective resource management
- Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to report and track all aspects of projects and ensure the project adheres to written contracts and other project documentation
- Business and technical expertise to review solutions for approval and facilitate the communication of those solutions to clients
- Able to work under pressure with strong attention to detail
- 7+ years experience leading high-performing software development teams throughout the SDLC process, may consider less experience for right candidate
- Proven success with MS Project or another Project Management software tool for the successful management, scheduling, and administration of large scale software development initiatives
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environment
- Basic knowledge of: .Net, JAVA, Azure, AWS, DevOps
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience within the Federal DoD Information Technology environment
- PMP Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
