Job Description– An experienced Salesforce CPQ Consultant / Architect / Billing Architect / Technical Lead with strong experience in Salesforce CPQ, billing and platform related technologies. This role is responsible for providing overall mentorship regarding architecture, strategies and techniques for the CPQ and billing product solutions. Will be working closely with Business, System Integrators and IT Go-To-Market team members to detail and ensure product solutions support business needs, follow strong architectural principles and serve as a technical & thought leader for CPQ and Billing solutions. The candidate is expected to have solid experience in implementing new Salesforce CPQ and billing solutions and migrating from legacy CPQ solutions to Salesforce CPQ & billing. Candidate should have a strong understanding of CPQ and billing processes & operations as they apply to subscriptions, perpetual licensing, order orchestration, provisioning & activation, revenue recognition, invoice generation, taxation, payment processing & GL concepts. The candidate will be customer focused, highly collaborative and constantly seek input to ensure success. The candidate should be ready to get their hands dirty and jump in and troubleshoot/optimize CPQ configurations, write code/troubleshoot if necessary (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, front end web technologies & data migration).

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution / Technical design and implementation of Opportunity/Quote to Cash solutions using Salesforce CPQ and billing.
  • Hands-on prototyping and proof-of-concepts for CPQ, billing and platform solutions
  • Design application architecture solutions that span multiple Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Analytics, Social, Communities) that meet business requirements
  • Be recognized as a technical & functional specialist in CPQ and Billing
  • Optimization of solutions through an understanding of business needs and technology capabilities
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities for automation, process & design improvements
  • Serve as a solution architect to ensure deliverables for Salesforce.com projects are done in line with best practices and strategic platform direction
  • Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including technical and functional capabilities; ability to execute on highly complex or specialized projects.
  • Oversight of multiple system integrators & vendors involved with Salesforce configuration and development work
  • Participate in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data governance; including master data management, metadata management, data quality and data profiling
  • Communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams including business teams, product teams, global IT Apps teams, consultants & vendors
  • Document as-is and to-be architecture solutions. Present complex solutions options and benefits to key technical program stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce technical team to ensure Salesforce development teams follow best practices when architecting, programming or documenting solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of emerging technology trends and identifies opportunities where technology might be deployed to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage.

  • Salesforce Platform Developer Certifications
  • Salesforce Certified Application and/or System Architect
  • Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist
