Surgery Scheduler

Looking for a surgery scheduler for a very busy orthopedic practice.

Requirements:

Previous experience in surgery scheduling

Previous experience in medical assisting would be preferred as you may have to cover for medical assistants who are out

Good oral, written communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent data entry, organizational, and phone skills

Must be able to prioritize and multi-task

Great team player with a positive attitude

Experience working with insurances in efforts to obtain authorizations for surgical procedures

Working with and communicating with various doctors offices in the area for purposes of obtaining clearances, medical, cardiac etc

Medical terminology

Daily Responsibilities:

Work with your assigned surgeons and schedule all their surgeries

Prepare all necessary paperwork/consent forms for patients to sign.

Work with the hospitals and surgery center in the area and communicate all pertinent information

Pre-op paperwork process for the patients
