Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and priorities relating to project accounting: J/C, A/R, Contracts, Billings & A/P.

Preparation of Owner billings, Subcontractor billings, purchase orders & change orders on a monthly basis according to the established schedule and procedure.

Processes accounts receivable and coordinates receipt of payments according to the established procedure.

Processes accounts payable and coordinates payment according to the established procedure.

Collect’s all accounting releases for monthly billings.

Performs job cost analyses and maintains schedules of values, budgets, commitment, change orders and change in contracts.

Assures timely and accurate maintenance of all job records.

Assists with internal and external project accounting audits.

Other duties may be assigned and needed.

Qualifications:

Associates degree (A. A.) or three to four years related accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, highly organized, and have effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Must poses knowledge of preliminary notices, conditional & unconditional releases and joint check agreements.

Should have working knowledge of accounting software (Timberline, QuickBooks), project management software, word processing software (MS Word), and spreadsheet software (MS Excel).
