Massage Therapist Needed

Join our amazing team of Massage Therapists! Vela Massage Retreat is seeking Massage Therapists willing to commit to at least two 6 hour shifts a week, with potential to work much more. You can average between 6-15 massages a week and more depending on how many shifts you want. Shifts are currently from 1pm-7pm. Pre-pandemic, we were usually open 10-9pm with two shifts 10-4 and 3-9 and hope to switch back to those hours again at some point.

Position Requirements:

Must be available weekends

Must be trained, passionate, highly skilled and confident in deep tissue therapies.

Must have CAMTC

Trigger Point Therapy/Deep Tissue knowledge is preferred. Other modalities welcomed.

We are hiring persons that have a strong understanding of anatomy, muscle location and action and are able to work slowly and deliberately focusing on specific muscles and their points of contraction.

Must be personable and able to communicate well with clients and other staff members.

Must be punctual and reliable and have cell phone with texting capabilities.

Our safety protocols during Covid-19 Pandemic:

Masks required by all staff and clients while in buildings including while in break room, lobby and treatment rooms. Masks must be worn properly at all times, with nose and mouth fully covered, please do not pull down masks to talk to people!

Client must wear a mask while face up

Air purifiers are used in all treatment rooms

Sanitize your mask in UV light sanitizer after every session.

Wear an apron (provided) or scrubs (not provided) and put in laundry after every session.

Sanitize face cradle, door knobs and countertops after every session.

Sanitize all product/oil/lotion bottles you used after every session.

Safely change sheets and apron after every session

Clients will wait in their car until their appointment
