Little Learner's is hiring for a part-time toddler aide and could turn into Full-time position.

Perferred-12 ECE/CD core units (including infant class)and 6 months of experience.

Might be willing to hire the right person without units with the agreement to take online classes in Early Childhood education within 6 months of hiring.

Must be able to Pass TB test, physical and FBI/DOJ background check.

Starting pay DOE with some paid holidays/vacation/sick leave/401K.

Must be positive, team player, and love children.

Teacher Job Description

Under the supervision of the Directors, the person selected for this position will be responsible for the general supervision and management of the classroom which they are hired for.

Expectations:

Be encouraging, patient, understanding, have a positive attitude, trustworthy, reliable and always try to be accommodating. Take pride in the school appearance and reputation inside and outside of the building.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children, especially in the field of early childhood education and must be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency. This person must be sensitive and a mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults. This person must have the personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity. This person must be detail oriented and manage their time effectively. Must be able to problem solve and work as a team- essential to have good communication with others. Be able to talk with other adults in a respectful and mature manner. Be able to prioritize different tasks, as needed. Work with other teachers to maintain cohesiveness in the classroom. Must be able to take proactive measures to teach, protect and care for the children. Must be willing to implement and take pride in the program philosophy.

Job Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Planning, supervising and implementing the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the program

Gearing the program to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, handicaps, special talents and individual style and pace of learning

Considering individual children in relationship to their cultural and socioeconomic background

Treating children with dignity and respect

Helping children become aware of their roles as integral members of a group

Responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor and learning environment of the classroom.

Keeping the classroom clean and organized.

Assist teachers as needed.
