Camp Navarro is seeking a Grounds and Facilities Manager.Our growing business is evolving from operating events and festivals to also incorporating transient hotel bookings for 2021. The ideal candidate has 5 years+ of progressing facility maintenance/management experienceworking in a Resort or Hotel settingand has theskills to troubleshoot andperformroutine building maintenance and grounds keeping duties.This candidate is personable and represents Camp Navarro well with guests, staff and vendors, has a passion for nature and environmental stewardship.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Grounds and Facilities Manager is responsible for managingthe Facilities and Maintenance Department in order to:

Provide to support the company to provide guests and staff with a secure, comfortable environment by developing and maintaining ongoing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the standards of Camp Navarro.

Overseeand directs the maintenance of buildings, systems, equipment, grounds and landscaping at Camp Navarro on a daily basis

Ensure that the property maintains a positive image as northern California’s premier “back to nature” hospitality property.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management or Related Degree, or High School Degree and equivalent work experience.

Experience: 5 years+ of progressing facility maintenance/management experience.

Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

Knowledge of principles and processes for safe and sane operation

Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS principles and processes compliant operations.

Must have basic painting, carpentry or general maintenance skills.

Demonstrates ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.

Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.

Ability to quickly problem solve and make sensible decisions.

Excellent interpersonal skills and recognition by others as a respected member of the team.

Must possess excellent attention to detail, a high level or organization, and the ability to multitask, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines on multiple projects.

Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with all Camp Navarro standards.

Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs to include nights and weekends as well as situational/crisis availability

Standing/Walking: Constantly. Standing/walking the majority of scheduled shift
