As a propagation employee you will be responsible for a variety of aspects of the indoor cannabis cultivation. You will be responsible for caring and supporting plant cultivation, abiding by policies and procedures, and also following operational guidelines. In this position you will report to the IPM manager and follow any verbal directives and guidelines he establishes for the position. A propagation employee is also responsible for maintaining and tracking clones and moms. Additionally, in this position you will ensure the proper maintenance of the mother plant and veg plant. Being part of the propagation team, you will also be responsible for conducting rooted cuttings, acclimating rooted clones for transplant into production rooms, and transplanting stock plants.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Consistently execute current processes for propagation to an exactingly high standard
Identify and propose improvements to propagation process to managers using data and logic
Implement and execute best in class IPM procedures
Feed, water, and prune stock plants
Maintain a clean grow environment
Schedule and follow an annual grow schedule while adjusting for changes
Ensure compliance with local state and federal licensing requirements
Evaluate health of stock plants and clones
Diligently clean and prepare propagation room
Execute foliar spray applications and drenches
Input data and tag plants into data sheets
Assist in other grow room duties when needed
Measure and mix nutrients for stock plants
Perform proper safety procedures by wearing designated PPE throughout working shift
Report to IPM manager in a daily basis with the progress of cultivation of clones
Job Skills & Qualifications:
· Required 21+ and above years of age
· High School Diploma and GED preferred
· 1-3 years of experience in cannabis specifically cultivation
· Ability to lift 30lbs or above and be standing for extended periods, bending over and/or crouching
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
· Must be able to work in safety aware environment
· Willingness to learn and grow
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
· Strong attention to detail
· Communicates, interacts and works effectively with others; respective to feedback and coaching
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
