Accounting Manager

We are seeking a dynamic, analytical, and organized individual to join our Luna Family as the Accounting Manager in our San Diego or Orange County offices.

The ideal candidate will manage the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting operations and financial services of the company, including accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. Additionally, this person will mentor and help to develop the accounting staff.

Reporting to the Controller, this position will work closely with key cross functional teams to coordinate and execute all the financial related activities for Luna Grill.

Responsibilities

Developing and/or overseeing all accounting and administrative operations (AP, AR, GL), audit, control, financial reporting, and budgeting activities for multiple entities.

Preparing and disseminating interim and year-end comparative financial reports.

Developing and implementing accounting policies and assisting with the development and implementation of company systems and procedures.

Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts.

Establish, implement, and monitor financial controls, which would include approvals and authorizations and a review of all financial processes and financial systems in conjunction with Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Management Team.

Partner with Controller to manage external auditors and annual review/audit process.

Provide operations/restaurant level direction on financial performance including suggested action plans to improve performance.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting and/or Finance.

Minimum of five (5) years total experience as a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager including two (2) years supervisory experience of one (1) or more direct reports.

Experience in GAAP, Accounts Payable, Audits, Fixed Assets, Inventory, General Ledger, Budgeting, Financial Reporting & Analysis.

Prefer candidates that have experience in a multi-unit restaurant environment that includes rapid growth expansion plans.
