Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community with strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday during business hours and ability to be on-call in case of emergency.

Complete assigned resident generated work orders for services on a daily basis and within established time frame. Work orders will include basic general unit repairs, property maintenance, electrical, painting, cleaning, appliance repair, light plumbing work, leak repair, faucet and toilet replacement, lighting system service, light bulb replacement, new fixture installation, etc.

Performing unit turns and unit rehabs. Duties include replacing blinds, outlet cover plates, door knobs, bathroom fixtures, closet doors, paint, install appliances, repair appliances as needed and basic unit repairs.

Responsible for requesting materials for unit turns and work order repairs and accountable for all materials used.

2 to 4 years of working experience at an apartment community.

Strong knowledge of standard practices and procedures of construction trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting and mechanical systems, including materials and tools; methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment; safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment

Excellent people skills.

Ability to work independently and systematically.

Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
