Japanese Language Teachers for Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School

Diablo Nippongo Gakuen (https://www.diablonippongogakuen.org/) is currently in the hiring process for teachers for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. There are multiple positions open for the kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school sections. Classes are taught from 8:45am to 12:00pm on Saturdays in Japanese.

Please note, the school is currently practicing online learning due to COVID-19, but is optimistic about returning to campus in the fall. If online learning persists in the fall, the position will still be available but in an online teaching environment.

Required: Ability to speak, read, write and understand Japanese at fluency level, ability to explain grammar concepts to JSL students in English, strong interpersonal skills, rapport with elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as U.S. citizenship, residency or visa/work permit.

Preferred: Experience in teaching Japanese to JSL students (not required).
