Garden Nursery Care Manager and Sales Associates / FT and PT

We are seeking a highly motivated Garden Manager. The ideal candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic retail sales manager who is passionate and knowledgeable about plants, gardening, and landscaping projects. TheGarden Manager will assist in the ordering, receiving, set up displays, stocking, pricing and help maintain a clean and orderly garden and nursery area. Retail sales experience required. Arroyo Grande Home and Garden True Value is a locallyowned/operated business.

We are also looking for friendly, responsible, positive, team associates that have experience and large knowledge identifying plants, plant diseases, nursery growth and care. Must enjoy working with people and offer exceptional customer service. Retail sales experience required.This position is responsible for care and watering of plants, sales and servicing customers in the Garden/Nursery department and throughout the store when needed. This position will also help stock shelves, pricing, ordering, set up displays, clean store, and load and unload trucks. It may also assist in making deliveries if necessary. Retail sales experience required.

Duties will include: Exceptional Customer Service at all times working cash register, carry outs, cleaning store, continued training as well as knowing how to work safely and be a positive and supportive team associate and any other tasks deemed necessary by the manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have experience and knowledge identifying plants/nursery growth and care.

Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.

This position requires physical demands such as lifting heavy objects, bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing.

Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
