The Housekeeper position is located in the famous city of Solvang – a city surrounded by beautiful wineries, amazing restaurants, and a deep culture. This position is Full Time and Temp to Hire, with the hours from 8:30 am to 5 pm (times may vary) and weekend work is required This position will require travel between two different company locations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Strips guestrooms of linen and terry
Collects dirty linen and terry and delivers to the laundry room
Removes trash collected by housekeepers
Distributes clean linen to housekeeping closets to maintain par requirement
Refills guest amenities as needed in housekeeping closets and guest rooms
Distributes housekeeping kits to turnover units, if applicable
Responds to guest queries and requests via radio, text, or in person
Delivers any requested housekeeping items and/or amenity items to guest rooms
Assists with public area cleaning as assigned by supervisor
Assists with receiving and distributing housekeeping supplies and organizing storage room and laundry room as needed
Performs duties of Room Attendant when necessary
Report missing/found articles to the housekeeping supervisors
Report to work in required uniform in accordance with property dress code policy
Cleans and maintains all equipment
Assists in completing monthly inventory
Follows up on special cleaning schedule assigned by management
Performs routine maintenance on equipment as needed and asked by management
Tracks and reports maintenance issues; follows up to ensure resolution
Assist other departments on high turn days
Participate in employee meetings
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Dependable, punctual, impeccable attendance record
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must have good manual dexterity
Accurate, attention to detail, service oriented
Strong organizational skills
Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
Excellent communication skills
Professional demeanor
Must be able to work on feet for extended periods
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
6 months to 1 year of houseperson experience is a plus but not required
